Zaplox AB (publ) (“Zaplox”), which offers hotels and casinos a contact-free mobile guest journey for a safe and engaging guest experience, announced that Zaplox has signed an agreement with Myrtle Beach Seaside Resorts located in South Carolina, USA. The agreement includes Zaplox Mobile Key App that will be integrated with Maestro PMS and WebPRO and with BLE locks from ASSA ABLOY.
Zaplox’s mobile keys will be deployed at the resort’s six luxury oceanfront properties with a total of 775 rooms, all located in Myrtle Beach. Avista Resort with 329 rooms will deploy the mobile key solution first, and Grand Shores Myrtle Beach, Prince Resort, Seaside Resort, Towers at North Myrtle Beach and The Horizon at 77th will follow suit.
The contactless mobile guest journey that will be rolled out at the resort, includes a new integrated solution, based on Maestro PMS and WebPRO for online check-in and checkout, combined with Zaplox Mobile Key App for keyless entry. Given Zaplox’s integration with Maestro PMS, hotels that currently use Maestro PMS will benefit from a much easier and faster deployment of Zaplox’s contactless mobile guest journey and kiosk solutions.
With Zaplox Mobile Key App, guests do no longer have to stop at the front desk to pick up a key or key card, but can use the hotel’s app to check in, and once the check-in process is completed, the mobile key can be accessed in the app and guests can use their phone to unlock the hotel room.
“We are very pleased that Myrtle Beach Seaside Resorts has chosen Zaplox’s mobile key solution to offer their guests a smoother, safer and contactless hotel experience,” says Even Frydenberg, president and CEO at Zaplox. “The pandemic has forced hotels to think outside of the box and take action to secure their own survival and to ensure that they can welcome guests in a safe and responsible way, and eventually achieve the same occupancy rate as before the pandemic. The agreement with Myrtle Beach Seaside Resorts confirms that Zaplox’s partnership and joint offering with Maestro is compelling to Maestro PMS users that are looking for a contact-free and mobile guest experience.”
