La Cantera Resort & Spa, a AAA® Four Diamond luxury resort with 496 rooms and 34 villas in San Antonio, Texas, launches a mobile guest app to provide a contact-free check-in and checkout as guests start returning post the Covid-19 pandemic. The new app enables guests to use their phone for everything from reservation and check-in/checkout to mobile key and payment, significantly reducing the need for face-to-face interaction with the hotel staff and time spent in the lobby.
La Cantera Resort & Spa teamed up with Zaplox, which offers hotels and casinos a contact-free mobile guest journey that enables guests to skip the lines and go straight to their hotel room and unlock the door with a digital key. The mobile key eliminates the need to handle plastic key cards and reduces interaction with the front desk and other hotel guests in the lobby. The app has been customized to match the La Cantera brand and is fully integrated with the Opera property management system from Oracle and the resort’s electronic lock system from dormakaba and payment system from Shift4.
