This year, the demand for contactless technology and other digital solutions are surging due to the pandemic, and through their partnership, Zaplox and Agilysys, enable hotels to reopen safely with the use of contact-free check-in and mobile keys. Over the last few months, the partnership has resulted in close to 25 new hotel and casino customers in North America.
Contactless guest engagement was a “nice-to-have” before the pandemic, but has now become a “must-have” in order to limit in-person interaction and comply with the new hotel safety guidelines.
Agilysys is using Zaplox SDK to add Zaplox’s mobile key functionality to its mobile guest solution, rGuest Express, allowing hotels to offer a mobile guest journey that is seamlessly integrated with the hotel’s Agilysys PMS and lock system. The mobile app eliminates the need to check-in at the front desk or handle physical keys or plastic key cards. Guests can avoid the crowds in the lobby and use their own phone to check-in and unlock the hotel room door.
Besides reducing the risk for infection, the solution also streamlines the check-in process; consequently maximizing the time guests spend gaming or enjoying resort amenities. In addition, the product allows hoteliers to share special promotions and deliver the high quality service guests expect, without the need for in-person contact. In the end, the Zaplox and Agilysys combined solutions have a positive impact on both the guest’s experience and the hotel’s profitability, making it a high priority for casino operators and resort managers.
