Tess Mattisson has today informed the Board of Directors that she will be stepping down as President & CEO of Zaplox after more than three years in the role. The Board will now begin the process of appointing a new CEO for the company.
Tess Mattisson took on the role as President & CEO in 2022, and under her leadership, the company has achieved significant milestones in terms of growth and the development of its products and services. During her time, net revenue has increased sixfold while EBITDA has improved by more than 50%. The company has also received several rewards, including “Best Hospitality Guest Innovation CEO” and “Best Mobile Guest Innovation CEO.”
“I am grateful for the three incredible years I’ve had the privilege to lead the company, and I am immensely proud of what we have accomplished together. Being part of this journey—with key milestones such as rolling out our services across more than one hundred hotels with our first major hotel chain, making significant strides in the U.S. casino space, and of course, being the first middleware provider to offer mobile keys in both Apple Wallet and Google Wallet—are achievements I will always look back on with great pride and joy,” says Tess Mattisson.
Tess Mattisson will continue to lead the company during her six-month notice period, or until a successor has been appointed. She will then take on a new position as Vice President and Head of Product Management, Hospitality at ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions.
