Mobile Key Issued from Zaplox Portal
Guests can download the app prior to arrival either by following the link in the confirmation email or “manually” find the app on the App Store or Google Play. Once the check-in with payment and ID check is completed at the front desk, the digital key is issued from the Zaplox portal.
Compatible with BLE Locks
Guests use their phone to unlock the hotel room door by activating the mobile key in the app and holding the phone against the door’s Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) lock. The guest is also able to share the key with other guests staying in the same room.
Access to Promotions and Chat with Staff
Guests can also access hotel information and special promotions – directly via the app. In addition, the app can provide chat functionality and concierge services or room service through Zaplox partner integrations.
No PMS Integration
Since the app does not require integration with the hotel’s PMS system it can be up and running in no time. The Mobile Key App can later be upgraded to include integration to the PMS for a complete mobile guest journey with mobile check-in-checkout, payment, and more.
