Zaplox AB (publ) (“Zaplox”), which offers hotels and casinos a contact-free mobile guest journey for a safe and engaging guest experience, announced that the company has signed agreements with three more hotels and casinos in the United States through the partnership with Agilysys. The agreements include; Fort Sill Apache Casino Hotel (500 rooms, Oklahoma), The Inn of the Mountain Gods Resort & Casino (273 rooms, New Mexico), and Grand Casino Mille Lacs (132 rooms, Minnesota). Zaplox key-centric SDKZaplox Key Centric SDK for mobile keys will be integrated with the Agilysys property management system and with lock systems from ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions and dormakaba. Once deployed, three casinos will be able to offer their guests the option of mobile check-in and checkout, mobile keys to open their hotel room, mobile access to special promotions and hotel and casino information – directly in their own guest app.
The successful partnership with Agilysys has already generated more than 20 new joint customer agreements since the latter part of 2020. The combination of the Agilysys rGuest Express guest app and Zaplox’s mobile keys, is an attractive solution for both new and existing Agilysys customers.
Because of the pandemic, guest safety has become a top priority in the hotel industry and hotel guests expect contactless, digital alternatives to the traditional in-person check-in experience. Consequently, the ability to offer a contactless guest journey has become a competitive advantage and hotels are looking at the mobile guest app as one way to make guests feel safe and increase bookings in a cost-efficient way.
The Zaplox and Agilysys solution has been adapted to meet the new demands for a contactless and personalized guest journey, which means that guests no longer have to wait in line to check in or get a room key. Instead, guests can save time and use the guest app to check in and checkout and they can use their phone as a mobile key, thus allowing them to spend more time in the casino and enjoy the hotel’s amenities. It also means that hotels can work more efficiently and reduce the front desk staff or reassign them to other revenue-generating services.
