At Guy Harvey Resort St. Augustine guests are now able to use their phone to access the hotel reservation, and instead of standing in line at the front desk, use their phone to check in before they even arrive at the resort. Once the room is ready, the guest is alerted through the app and can use the mobile key to unlock the hotel room. In addition to streamlining the check-in process, the app presents information about the resort amenities and surroundings available right at the guest’s fingertips. Instead of calling the front desk, guests can use the app to look up everything from the dinner menu to scheduled events or how late the pool is open. Before and during the stay, the app can be used to promote everything from happy hour specials at the resort’s tiki bar to dinner cruises and fishing trips offered by the resort. On the departure day, guests can use the app to review their folio and pay with no need to stop at the front desk. Post-stay marketing via the app represents another large potential as it enables Guy Harvey Resort St. Augustine to continue to engage with the guest with special incentives for guests that book their next stay directly in the app.

The hotel is set to open in April of 2021.

Guests staying at the Smokey Mountain Resorts hotels Country Cascade Water Park Resort (236 rooms) and the Resort at Governors Crossing (225 rooms) will be able to enjoy the conveniences of a mobile guest journey, allowing them to use their phone to check-in, unlock the door, checkout, review and pay their hotel bill –directly via the hotel app delivered by Zaplox. Guests will also be able to book their next stay in the same app.

In addition to a mobile guest journey, both hotels will also offer the option to check-in and encode a key card via Zaplox self-service kiosk in the hotel lobby. The kiosk can also be used to look up general hotel information, and at checkout, guests can use the kiosk to review and pay for the hotel bill.

By offering the choice of the mobile app and the self-service kiosk, guests staying at the Smoky Mountain Resorts can choose how and when they want to check-in and engage with the hotel, and even better, they can skip the lines at the front desk.

Zaplox ‘s solutions have been fully integrated with the hotel’s property management system, Maestro PMS from Northwind as well as with the lock systems from dormakaba and SALTO systems. In addition, Zaplox has also been integrated with the Shift4 payment system to enable payment processing via the app and kiosk.
