With easy access to the Zaplox Kiosk in the hotel lobby, guests can skip the lines and manage their own check-in and checkout process. The kiosk, which has been customized and branded to align with the hotels’ brand, makes it easy for guests to print their own key cards by placing the card on an encoder next to the kiosk. After check-in, guests can go straight to their hotel room, thus avoiding close contact with the hotel staff and other guests. Not only does the Zaplox Kiosk meet the safety requirements for contactless check-in, but it also streamlines the check-in and checkout process by enabling guests to manage many of the steps themselves.

The agreement includes Zaplox Mobile Key App that will be integrated with Maestro PMS and WebPRO and with BLE locks from ASSA ABLOY.

Zaplox’s mobile keys will be deployed at the resort’s six luxury oceanfront properties with a total of 775 rooms, all located in Myrtle Beach. Avista Resort with 329 rooms will deploy the mobile key solution first, and Grand Shores Myrtle Beach, Prince Resort, Seaside Resort, Towers at North Myrtle Beach and The Horizon at 77th will follow suit.

During the third and fourth quarter of 2020, the partnership with Agilysys generated 20 new customer agreements with a total of 7,500 doors for Zaplox. The new properties bring the total number of doors up to almost 10,000.

The new properties include Turning Stone Resort Casino (797 rooms), Grand Casino Mille Lacs (500 rooms), Banff Center (389 rooms), Inn of the Mountain Gods Resort & Casino (273 rooms), Blue Water Resort & Casino (200 rooms), Santa Claran Hotel Casino (122 rooms), and Eddy’s Taproom Hotel (49 rooms).

Through the app, the hotel is able to promote revenue-generating services such as dinner reservations, spa treatments, and golf packages to improve its profitability.

Once the order is received, Zaplox invoices a start-up fee and an ongoing monthly fee per door is added once the solution is in operation. The Mount Airy Casino Resort is forecasted at approximately SEK 424,000 if the mobile key solution remains in full operation for seven years (which is an average lifespan of a hotel lock). The agreement does not have any guaranteed volume or revenue levels.
